Wine Makers Notes

The 2012 vintage in Alsace had a full season with great maturity but without excess summer heat, preserving fruit and acidity. Wine is made at Domaine du Manoir at the foot of the Letzenberg hill.

Terroir is Clayey limestone with terraced vineyards, located on east facing side of the hill slope with low yields. Grapes, growing on 25 year old vines, were hand harvested, crushed lightly and pressed with long fermentation on the lees.
